In Provicol QM Aesthetic, VOCO is now offering a zinc oxide cement of the latest generation combining the advantages of classic cements with outstanding aesthetics. An innovative glass matrix with polyhedral particles ensures outstanding translucency and promotes adhesive strength.
Thanks to its particular translucency, otherwise only achieved with a resin matrix, Provicol QM Aesthetic adapts to the surrounding tooth shade and matches the dentine perfectly: This allows the dentist to also achieve an excellent result for the patient when producing a temporary restoration. The indication range of Provicol QM Aesthetic covers temporary luting of provisional and permanent inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges as well as temporary sealing of small, single-surface cavities.
Provicol QM Aesthetic is characterised by its convenient flowability. The practical QM syringe guarantees reliable and precise working. The pinpoint stability of Provicol QM Aesthetic after application makes the process of luting very easy, and excess material can be removed completely and with precision either immediately or after curing. Removal of the restoration is also trouble-free. In addition, Provicol QM Aesthetic contains neither colophony nor – as is true of all members of the Provicol family – eugenol, thus scoring additional points for its universal material compatibility.
What is more, the newcomer also features all the other, familiar Provicol advantages: It is radiopaque and contains zinc oxide, which is renowned for its bacteriostatic effect, as well as calcium hydroxide, which promotes the development of tertiary dentine. In contrast to resin-based luting materials, Provicol QM Aesthetic does not show any polymerisation shrinkage. Nevertheless, it impresses with a very precise film thickness (7 µm), which enhances the accuracy of fit during incorporation and promotes retention.
