The test was commissioned by the independent institute “The Dental Advisor”, which subsequently awarded Admira Fusion, the world’s first purely ceramic-based restorative material from VOCO, yet another accolade. In 2016, Admira Fusion and Admira Fusion x-tra scooped the Editor’s Choice award with four-and-a-half and five stars out of five respectively. In 2017, Admira Fusion managed to take home the Top Award as the hands-down winner in the Innovative Restorative Material category. Admira Fusion obtained an outstanding rating on the basis of some 700 clinical applications by American dentists.
Admira Fusion is a light-curing nanohybrid ORMOCER® restorative material featuring a filler content of 84% by weight, with silicon oxide forming the chemical basis for both the fillers and the resin matrix. This unique “pure silicate technology” brings a number of advantages with it: for example, Admira Fusion displays minimal polymerization shrinkage of 1.25% by volume and extremely low shrinkage stress. Thanks to the ORMOCER® constituents employed, Admira Fusion is highly biocompatible, as it does not contain any conventional monomers.
This material is suitable for the filling of class I to V cavities, reconstructing anterior teeth damaged by trauma, veneering for discoloured anterior teeth, the interlocking and splinting of loose teeth, expanded fissure sealing, restorations in deciduous teeth and core build-ups.
The dentists surveyed by “The Dental Advisor” praised the excellent properties of Admira Fusion with regard to ease of dispensing and placement, sculptability and the ease and quality of finishing/polishing. In addition to its material properties, the ease of handling was also given special mention.
