VOCO announces the launch of  Profluorid^® Varnish + BioMin^®, a next-generation fluoride varnish formulated to support enhanced remineralization and long-lasting enamel protection. The varnish is based on VOCO’s long-lasting Pro-Colophony formula, allowing clinicians to apply the material in a thin, clear layer that adheres well to the tooth surface for extended fluoride release. Its pleasant taste, neutral smell, and smooth feel contribute to high patient acceptance and make application especially comfortable for dental hygienists.

Designed for daily use, its multistage cement reaction allows immediate coverage after placement with a flowable composite or glass ionomer, eliminating long wait times. With up to twice the compressive strength of previous MTA generations and very low water solubility, MTA vpt ensures a strong foundation above a vital pulp.

Priced for everyday use in near-pulp restorations, this calcium ion–releasing cement promotes the long-term preservation of pulp vitality. It provides a highly stable, bacteria-resistant seal with exceptional biocompatibility.

MTA vpt is a third-generation MTA cement that begins as a light-blue color for easy visibility during placement. It turns white during curing—and more importantly—stays permanently white, improving esthetics. It contains no bismuth oxide or ferrous compounds, eliminating the risk of discoloration. MTA vpt is monomer-free, addressing concerns about monomer cytotoxicity near the pulp.

Formulated predominantly with tricalcium silicate, MTA vpt releases calcium and hydroxide ions to stimulate reparative dentin formation and support natural pulp healing. Its high pH (12) creates a bacteriostatic environment and encourages remineralization.

With a radiopacity of 290 %Al, MTA vpt is easily identifiable on x-rays. Introducing VOCO Retraction Paste, an astringent paste with aluminum chloride that effectively widens and dries the gingival sulcus, creating the ideal conditions for accurate and successful conventional or digital impressions.

VOCO Retraction Paste features a custom-engineered capsule with a long, fine, flexible plastic tip rather than metal, that avoids damage to the gingiva and allows for precise application. Its 2-stage viscosity makes for simple application. First, the paste easily flows under low pressure out of the capsule into the sulcus with minimal extrusion force, then once in place its viscosity increases to remain stable as it temporarily widens the sulcus. At 0.3 g per cap, VOCO Retraction Paste capsules contains enough material for up to three teeth.

Primarily used for the retraction of the marginal gingiva and moisture management of the gingival sulcus prior to analog or digital impressions, VOCO Retraction Paste can also be used to assist in the cementation of temporary and permanent restorations, and as preparation for Class II and V restorations.
