Product News
(Neu)

Further enhancing the esthetics of its universal nano-ORMOCER material, VOCO has added to its bleach shade offerings with Admira Fusion BXL, bringing the total number of available shades for this material to 19. This new shade is available in both 0.2g caps and 3g syringes.

Admira Fusion is a universal nano-hybrid ORMOCER (Organically-Modified CERamic) restorative material that provides extremely low shrinkage (1.25%), immediate and long-term esthetics, easy handling, and superior biocompatibility, without any BPA or traditional monomers (BisGMA, UDMA, TEGDMA, UDMA or HEMA).

It is a universal restorative material, indicated for Class I to Class V restorations, composite inlays, core build-ups, and as a base for Class I and Class II cavities. It is the world's first all ceramic-based direct universal restorative material, and features Pure Silicate Technology, with fillers and matrix based purely on silicon oxide. This technology reduces shrinkage and shrinkage stress by up to 50% and features outstanding shade stability.

Admira Fusion is compatible with all conventional bonding agents, has a non-sticky consistency for easy handling, and offers a perfect balance of translucency and opacity for natural looking restorations. It is easy to polish to a high shine luster and has a high 84% fill rate for high wear resistance.

VOCO Partners with Alliance for Smiles to Support Their Mission Trip to Ecuador
VOCO Dental Aid
(Neu)

VOCO's contribution to the Alliance for Smiles mission in Guayaquil, Ecuador, is a testament to the collaborative efforts that make such humanitarian work possible. The donation of 250 doses of Profluorid Varnish was a significant aid in the mission's success, allowing Mary Jensen, RDH, and her team to provide essential dental cleanings and fluoride treatments. These procedures are crucial in preventing tooth decay and promoting oral health, especially in communities with limited access to dental care.

Moreover, the team's efforts in oral care education are invaluable, as knowledge is a powerful tool in maintaining oral hygiene and preventing future dental issues. Education on proper brushing techniques, the importance of regular dental check-ups, and the role of diet in oral health can have a lasting impact on the community's well-being.

The work done by Alliance for Smiles aligns with their broader mission to repair children's cleft palate anomalies in under-served areas of the world. Their dedication to providing not only surgical interventions but also comprehensive care, including dental health, highlights the multifaceted approach needed to address global health disparities.

The gratitude expressed by VOCO underscores the importance of such missions and the difference they make in the lives of individuals and communities. The success of these initiatives is a collective achievement, reflecting the commitment of volunteers, the generosity of donors, and the resilience of communities they serve. Thank you to Alliance for Smiles and all involved for their wonderful work and the positive impact they continue to make.

VOCO Retraction Paste - The Essential Element for Precision Impressions
Product News
(Neu)

Introducing VOCO Retraction Paste, an astringent paste with aluminum chloride that effectively widens and dries the gingival sulcus, creating the ideal conditions for accurate and successful conventional or digital impressions.

VOCO Retraction Paste features a custom-engineered capsule with a long, fine, flexible plastic tip rather than metal, that avoids damage to the gingiva and allows for precise application. Its 2-stage viscosity makes for simple application. First, the paste easily flows under low pressure out of the capsule into the sulcus with minimal extrusion force, then once in place its viscosity increases to remain stable as it temporarily widens the sulcus. At 0.3 g per cap, VOCO Retraction Paste capsules contains enough material for up to three teeth.

Primarily used for the retraction of the marginal gingiva and moisture management of the gingival sulcus prior to analog or digital impressions, VOCO Retraction Paste can also be used to assist in the cementation of temporary and permanent restorations, and as preparation for Class II and V restorations.

The material itself comes in a bright turquoise blue color, providing high contrast to tooth structure and gingiva, ensuring that the paste is visible and can be easily rinsed off after only 1 – 2 minutes.

VOCO Retraction Paste can save up to 50% of the practitioner’s procedural time compared to other methods and brands, and it can be used as a replacement for, or in combination with a retraction cord.

FDA 510k-cleared 3D print resin for clear thermo-flexible therapeutic splints an

VOCO is proud to present V-Print Splint Comfort, their new FDA 510k-cleared biocompatible 3D printing resin, for the production of clear, strong thermo-flexible therapeutic splints and night guards that are durable and esthetic.

V-Print Splint Comfort thermo-flexibility allows for a precise fit to the teeth for optimal patient comfort. The high flexural strength and excellent wear resistance permits the fabrication of devices as thin as 1mm. The easy to polish V-Print Splint Comfort is clear, color-stable and odorless. All V-Print resins are sedimentation-free and therefore do not require shaking or “rolling” prior to use.

V-Print Splint is part of a large and growing line of 3D printer materials from VOCO, and is engineered to work with, as well as validated for, a growing number of open-source 3D printers that include Asiga, Dental Wings, RapidShape, Microlay, MiiCraft, Ackuretta, Shera, and Straumann. And like all V-Print resins, it is included in the design software from 3Shape and Exocad.

Press Release: Caps Warmer
Product News
(Neu)

VOCO presents the VOCO Caps Warmer, a preheating device for composite and nano-ORMOCER restorative unit dose capsules. The VOCO Caps Warmer can easily warm one unit-dose capsule while it is loaded in a VOCO Caps dispenser, and simultaneously warm four extra caps and two instruments, giving the device a total of seven warming bays.

The VOCO Caps Warmer assists in making composite and nano-ORMOCER restorative materials easier to extrude and manipulate, particularly if stored in a dry environment. Furthermore, warmer, more viscous material will have a softer consistency, allowing the material to better adapt to the imperfections, micro-etch pattern or small fissures within the prep. Warming an instrument will make the sculpting of a composite easier and more precise.

The VOCO Caps Warmer has three different temperature settings: 98 °F (37 °C), 130 °F (54 °C) and 155 °F (68 °C). Each temperature setting can be selected to achieve a different viscosity depending on the material being warmed, resulting in increased adaptation, and simplifying application.

The VOCO Caps Warmer is optimized for VOCO restorative capsules, allowing for the perfect fit and enabling the best heat transfer while also ensuring that all capsules and instruments are warmed uniformly. Warming VOCO composites will not decrease or modify their physical properties. The VOCO Caps Warmer simply changes the way in which the material functions temporarily, allowing for diversity in handling during placement.

Upon initial power up, the VOCO Caps Warmer reaches the desired temperature within 15-20 minutes, maintains a steady temperature throughout the day, and it is equipped with a mechanism that will turn the machine off after 10 hours of continuous use to avoid burning out the heating element. Once it reaches its set temperature, its ability to warm individual capsules depends on the specific material placed in the VOCO Caps Warmer but, in general, takes about three minutes.
