VOCO Perfect Protect is a desensitising gel for use at home which is tailored to the conditions of home bleaching. It contains 3% potassium nitrate ( 11,600 ppm nitrate) and 0.11% fluoride (≙ 1,130 ppm fluoride), thus reliably contributing to the desensitisation of sensitive teeth. While the potassium nitrate aids with pain relief in hypersensitive teeth, the fluoride supports the sealing of open dentinal tubules and thus addresses the cause of the hypersensitivity.
The transparent and tasteless material is extremely simple and intuitive in its use: it is applied for 15–60 minutes using the same tray as for home bleaching and can be applied both before and after tooth whitening.

VOCO Perfect Protect underscores the usual great performance of VOCO products once again. Measurements by Dr. Dimitrios Dionysopoulus from the department of Operative Dentistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) showed that VOCO Perfect Protect performed best in the testing for the sealing of open dentinal tubules among the desensitising products intended for patient use. This means that VOCO Perfect Protect with around 80% sealed dentinal tubules (after use) is most effective against hypersensitivity caused by home bleaching.
