Fluorescent materials open up new possibilities when it comes to removing excess material precisely and quickly. By using simple UVA lamps, any material residues that are difficult to see with the naked eye become visible and can thus be removed precisely and completely. With Bifix Temp fluorescent for temporary luting and Clip F fluorescent for temporary restorations, VOCO is bringing two innovative fluorescent products that combine functionality and technology with consistent aesthetics at the highest level into the dental practice.
The new dimension: fluorescent temporary luting materials
Bifix Temp fluorescent harmoniously blends into the temporary restoration with its tooth-like, translucent shade. The aesthetics remain unchanged in natural light and the fluorescence does not shine through even under UVA light with temporary restorations. The material fluoresces very intensively under UVA light, which makes it easier to recognise and remove the smallest material residues after removal of the temporary restoration and supports the precise placement of the subsequent permanent restoration. This advantage alone makes the usual time-consuming post-processing process more efficient.
The processing time of Bifix Temp fluorescent is 90 seconds before the material self-cures within the four minutes. The additional dual-curing properties of Bifix Temp fluorescent enable a simple excess removal using the Tack-Cure-Technique: Brief exposure brings the material to an elastic consistency and can be removed ‘visibly’ in one piece, which considerably simplifies the work process.
Bifix Temp fluorescent comes in the handy 1:1 QuickMix syringe with 5 ml, which effectively rules out the possibility of incorrect dosing and mixing ratios. The short cannula minimises material loss and allows more applications to be carried out per syringe than with comparable products on the market.
Precision for temporary restorations
Clip F fluorescent impresses with its versatility and user-friendliness. The single-component material can be easily placed and modelled. Clip F fluorescent is immediately resilient and saliva-proof thanks to the light curing. In most cases, the elastic material properties of Clip F fluorescent allow residue-free removal with clean and undamaged preparation margins. The new fluorescent property is particularly practical: under UVA light, it makes it much easier to find and remove small excess material and material residues that are not easy to spot with the naked eye, especially with thin layers. Thanks to this property, the fluoride-releasing Clip F fluorescent is equally well suited to all types of temporary fillings, seals and treatments including onlay and inlay solutions.
Clip F fluorescent comes in a universal shade in a pack of 2 x 4 g syringes.
With the fluorescent products – which also include the dual-curing core build-up and post luting system Rebilda DC fluorescent – VOCO offers a trend-setting solution that combines functionality and aesthetics and makes everyday dental practice more efficient and safer.
