IDS 2025: VOCO to unveil innovations and top products for practices and laboratories

This year, the dental manufacturer VOCO will again be one of the most important exhibitors at the International Dental Show (IDS, 25 to 29 March in Cologne). The Dentalists will be unveiling no fewer than eight impressive new products, highlighting yet again the innovative strength of the Cuxhaven family business. Visitors will also be able to learn in detail about other highlights from the portfolio.

Across three spacious exhibition stands, with a total area of more than 430 square metres, VOCO will offer guests plenty of space in which to find out all about its products and processes, and obtain detailed advice from the specialists. “Personal discussions and one-to-one communication are very important to us”, says Dr. Axel Bernecker, Head of Marketing. There will be around 80 colleagues from VOCO at the Dental Show, and they are looking forward to welcoming all our visitors.

New: 4 mm universal composite in five Cluster-Shades

The centrepiece of the VOCO presentation will be a new addition to the internationally tried-and-tested GrandioSO family. VOCO is bringing to dental practices an aesthetic universal composite that can be used in layer thicknesses of up to 4 mm, in both the anterior and posterior regions – GrandioSO Unlimited. The simplified shade system with five cluster shades covers all 16 VITA® classical shades and thus ensures easy application. The filler content of 91% by weight also makes the material extremely strong and durable. GrandioSO Unlimited will be on show at the stand in Hall 10.2, Stand N010/019. This area is all about composites, adhesives and impression materials for direct and indirect restorations. Further new products to be unveiled include a biomaterial for maintaining the vitality of the pulp, which is suitable for everyday use, a temporary luting material and a temporary restorative material. A special feature of these materials is that they fluoresce on demand by using a simple UVA lamp, so any excess material that is difficult to see with the naked eye becomes visible and can thus be removed precisely and completely.

Innovative: CAD/CAM products for the digital workflow

Directly adjacent to the eye-catching stand is the digital stand (Hall 10.2, N020/029). Compared to the last IDS, it is now even larger, allowing the products for additive and subtractive manufacturing to be presented comprehensively. Furthermore, our trusted partners will be presenting their 3D printers and milling machines, so visitors will have the opportunity to evaluate finished workpieces.

Exciting: innovation in the Oral Care range and competition

VOCO will also have a stand (C060) in Hall 5.2. With the focus on prophylaxis, the range from the Oral Care sector will be presented here. One of the innovative products is VOCO Profluorid Varnish + BioMin, which is based on our long-established and highly successful desensitising fluoride varnish VOCO Profluorid Varnish. The new “+BioMin version” features the addition of soluble bioglass from BioMin Technologies Ltd. This bioglass dissolves, depending on the pH value, and releases large quantities of calcium and phosphate ions, which support remineralisation of the tooth. In combination with the fluoride from the varnish, protective structures form on the tooth surface, which significantly harden the acid-weakened enamel.

Anyone who would like to discover VOCO’s home town should enter the photo competition with the XXL mascot Molarius: first prize is a wellness trip to Cuxhaven.

Informative: Speakers Corner

There will also be a really exciting competition with lots of prizes to be won in Hall 10.2. In addition, expert speakers will be giving interesting and lively presentations on current topics in the Speakers Corner. At 11:00 each day, it's curtain up and mic on:

Thursday 27 March: Emily Sara Thambi, dentist and research associate, Queen Mary University, London (UK): A novel demineralisation-inhibiting varnish

Friday 28 March: Ash Soneji, dentist, Bristol (UK): One magic composite – Unlimited possibilities!
