Intensive conversations with customers and partners from all over the world as well as the presentation of new and well-known product highlights characterised the five IDS days at the VOCO booths. The dental manufacturer from Cuxhaven (Germany) travelled to the leading trade fair of the dental industry with a team of almost 80 people from 20 countries in order to enter into an exchange with the professional audience.

The IDS is considered the largest and most important forum for the global dental community: All market participants in the fields of dentistry and dental technology come together for professional dialog – it has been like this for exactly 100 years now. Around 120,000 visitors from 162 countries and almost 1,800 exhibitors took part in this year’s trade fair.

Admira Fusion 5 – Simplified shade system with Cluster-Shades

The focus of VOCO’s exhibition presentation was placed on a new material from a very popular product family: Admira Fusion 5 is the further development of the innovative, purely ceramic-based ORMOCER® restorative material Admira Fusion. This new universal composite with a simplified shade system makes it possible to cover all VITA® classical shades with just five Cluster-Shades. This not only makes the selection of the tooth shade much easier, but also allows the inventory to be quickly streamlined. All composites of the Admira Fusion family are excellently biocompatible due to the used ORMOCERS, as they do not contain any classic monomers.

AlignerFlow LC – Optimised workflow through fluorescence

The new flowable, which was specially developed for Aligner Therapy, also met with great interest from trade show visitors: Fluorescent under UV-A light, artefacts, excesses and residues become visible during removal and can be removed quickly and without damaging the enamel. “AlignerFlow LC is a milestone in the dynamically growing Aligner Therapy market, as it enables dentists and orthodontists to work more efficiently and precisely“, says Dr. Axel Bernecker, Head of Marketing at VOCO.

Innovations for prosthetics

VOCO has also grown again in the CAD/CAM area: With V-Print c&b temp, the manufacturer offers a printing resin for the fabrication of temporary restorations in the digital workflow. The highly filled composite is even indicated for multi-unit bridges and long-term temporaries. The translucency and natural fluorescence exceed aesthetic requirements for temporary restorations.

For permanent and particularly aesthetic restorations, VOCO presented the nano-ceramic hybrid CAD/CAM material Grandio disc multicolor: The multicolor imitates the colour gradient of natural teeth from the incisal edge to the tooth neck – and that with just three layers.

Lecture for deaf dental technicians

As a special highlight, two lectures for deaf dental technicians were held at the digital booth: With the support of two interpreters, the CAD/CAM portfolio and the extensive possibilities of digital technologies were presented.
