V-Print cast

Light-curing resin for the generative production of burn-out objects for casting and pressing processes

V-Print cast

The casting and pressing technique often forms the basis for the fabrication of dental restorations. Patient-specific restorations are created as one-off pieces in a whole range of detailed working steps in the dental laboratory. Conventional wax-up is a very time-intensive process during this procedure.

If the resulting cast or pressed object is defective, the dental technician’s work is usually lost and the wax-up model of the restoration must be started from scratch.

Dental restorations can be designed to suit precise requirements using the CAD software. V-Print cast and 3D printing technology make it possible to fabricate burn-out objects which are precise and can be reproduced multiple times. This minimises the risk and time involved in case of a casting failure.

V-Print cast is a residue-free burning 3D printing material for the production of all types of objects for casting processes and pressed ceramics. Its high dimensional stability and edge stability allow reliable checking of the occlusion and of the lateral movements on the model. Even in the light-cured state, any necessary finishing can be carried out in a way which does not damage the instruments. Embedding is done with commercially available, phosphate-bonded bedding compounds. V-Print cast is suitable for conventional heating and for the speed casting method.

Like all V-Print printing materials, V-Print cast is also sedimentation-stable, thus allowing unsupervised overnight printing.
